Dear Interested Shiba Owner,

My name is Autumn Steger and I fell in love with the Shiba breed actually from a video game! I did research and after my fiancee and I purchased our house, we were ready for a puppy. I began looking for a breeder close by.  I ended up finding J.A.K. Kennel.  Even though it was a 4 hour drive to get there, no regrets at all. We decided to get a female.  We name her Sierra.  Only a few days before going to get Sierra, my fiancee and I were looking at the website again and saw a beautiful little boy still available.  So, instead of leaving with one puppy, we left with both Sierra and Motley. They have been great puppies and we get stopped by a lot of people telling us how cute they are!  At first we weren't quite sure about sending money to people we have never met.  Expecially with my fiancee being a police officer, we know there are a lot of con artists out there.  But after talking with Angie and Jeff, we were more than comfortable with our decision! So put any worries aside, if you have them and get yourself a great puppy - or puppies!

Dear Future Shiba Owner,

My name is Alison and I purchased a 10 week old black & tan Shiba pup from JAK Kennel in July, 2005.  After spending the previous 2 months researching breeders in our area, we finally found a breeder that was accomodating, knowledgeable and willing to offer advice and insight without pressure. Angie and Jeff were both extremely willing to let us come and visit the kennel and meet the parents and the litter of puppies with no pressure or committment to purchase or bring one home that day. Upon arriving to the kennel, we got to meet their dogs, all of which were very pleasant and well trained. It was very clear that Jeff and Angie had a great appreciation and care not only for their dogs but for the breed as a whole. Of course, after meeting the dogs and the adorable puppies, we fell in love and decided to take on home that day. Angie and Jeff continue to make themselves readily available to answer any questions that we have and have expressed a vested interest in the well being of any puppy that was placed from their kennel. We have an extremely healthy, beautiful and well mannered Shiba. Given the opportunity, I would purchase/adopt another Shiba from JAK Kennels and I would definately recommend them to anyone looking for a good Shiba breeder. To Whom It May Concern,

We purchased a Shiba Inu puppy from Angie Kellen in July of 2007 and it was a great experience for my husband and me, who were first time dog buyers. We were very impressed with Angie and her knowledge of the Shiba's. She answered our questins prior to the purchase and the few questions that we had once we had our puppy home. She was very helpful and understanding. We had great communication before the purchase as well as after. We contacted her one weekend and picked up our beautiful puppy the next. The pick up went smoothly and the puppy is great. After we had our dog spayed, we sent her our proff and within a couple of weeks we had our paperwork to have Summer certified. She gave us great instructions on what to do and how to get it done the fastest way. We highly recommend Angie Kellen as a dog breeder. If we decide to purchase another Shiba, we will definitely go to Angie. We still keep in touch with Angie to give her updates and ask questions if they come up. She responds quickly and is very patient. Our dog is doing very well and we enjoy having such a great dog. Good Luck!
